Centrum Arrupe (Gdynia) i Towarzystwo Mowy Białoruskiej (Mińsk)

Głównym grantodawcą, dzięki któremu możemy realizować na Białorusi projekt "Samorząd uczniowski szkołą demokracji" jest Fundacja BATORY.

Rozpoczęliśmy 1 lipca 2003 roku od szkolenia nauczycieli białoruskich. Kolejne etapy projektu to zajęcia z opiekunami samorządów uczniowskich w Witebsku i Mińsku, wypracowanie szkoleń dla członków uczniowskich władz samorządowych oraz poprowadzenie ich w szkołach średnich w Witebsku i Mińsku. Zakończenie projektu przewidujemy w czerwcu 2004 roku.

Mamy nadzieję, że oddziaływując na młodzież i ucząc ich wielu niezbędnych w państwie prawa umiejętności społecznych, wpłyniemy na demokratyzację Białorusi.

Przewidziany w projekcie zakup samochodu został sfinalizowany. Z początkiem roku 2004 udamy sie nim do Witebska i Mińska.

W roku 2004 rozpoczniemy poszerzoną wersję projektu włączając do współpracy przedstawicieli samorządów uczniowskich z Kowna i Wilna (Litwa) oraz Miskolc (Węgry).

Szkolenia dla nauczycieli w Mińsku i Witebsku.

W dniach 21-23 marca 2004 Centrum Arrupe przeprowadziło 20-godzinne szkolenie dla nauczycieli w Mińsku na Białorusi. Uczestnicy z dużym entuzjazmem angażowali się w zajęcia dotyczące formacji uczniów kierujących samorządem uczniowskim. Prowadzący zajęcia posłużyli się takimi metodami jak role-play, diagram diamentowy, kompozycje plastyczne, hayku, symulacja, gra planszowa, praca nad dylematem moralnym, mapa myśli, układanka. Po dniu przerwy, od 25 do 27 marca 2004 trwały podobne zajęcia w Witebsku. Oba kursy przygotowały 57 nauczycieli, którzy z kolei zaplanowali szkolenia dla swoich uczniów oraz wytyczyli najbliższe cele swojego własnego rozwoju. Polsko-Białoruski zespół trenerów Centrum Arrupe pracował bardzo intensywnie. Należeli do niego: Anna, Ija, Bernarda, Leonarda, Mikołaj, Tatiana, Alina i Wojciech.

Dyrektor Centrum Arrupe udaje się do Albanii, gdzie będzie rozmawiał z dyrekcją liceum w Szkodrze, w sprawie rozszerzenia projektu "Samorząd uczniowski szkołą demokracji" również na uczniów albańskich.

Ruta's report

The Jesuit schools in Vilnius, Kaunas, Gdynia and Miskolc are taking part in the international project of cooperation of their school parliaments. The main aims of the project are to develop relationships between European Jesuit schools, improve the conditions of their school parliaments or self-governments as well as their statutes and thus examine the possible influence to the school communities. 

The idea of the project was derived from the context of IJELP programme. During the year of intership between two IJELP sessions the rules of the Behaviour of students and the statute of the students Parliament were improved, the regulations of the jury of the behaviour judgement were created. At the end of the second year it was agreed upon the idea of the international cooperation of students.

In year 2003/2004 an international meeting took place at Vilnius Jesuit High School. During the meeting of Jesuit schools in Vilnius, Kaunas and Gdynia the self-governments of these schools were represented. The discussion called “Democracy in our school. Contribution of self-governments to increase democracy” was organized. Students also visited the camp of Vilnius Jesuit High School where the retreats would take place. The excursions to Kaunas Jesuit High School, the castle of Trakai, Vilnius University and to the old town of Vilnius were arranged. Students also visited the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania. The experience gained in Miskolc by one student of Vilnius Jesuit High School was also shared.

On 9^th March, 2004, the second international meeting in Gdynia started. The students from Miskolc Jesuit School also integrated into the project. During the meetings, educational courses were offered. The courses comprised a huge quantity of information on self-governments at schools and discussed all the necessary qualities that should be followed by any leader. The participants contributed a lot to celebrate the Day of Europe in Gdynia together, representing Lithuania and Hungary. Excursions to Gdynia, Sopot and Gdansk as well as the concert of the medieval music were organized.

With the help of this project students could realize the importance self-governments and democracy at school and the subtleties of managing the student parliaments at their schools. They also had a possibility to see the differences of schools and thus evaluate the position of their own school in international context. Students could also develop their inner skills dealing with responsibility they were given to represent their own school abroad. Not only did students practise the English language, but also they had a possibility to check their communication skills. Participating in discussions must have encouraged them to take up new projects and thus become aware of speaking with sponsors and the press. The project also led to some changes in the Statute of the Student Parliament at Vilnius Jesuit High School. Therefore the organization is going to achieve higher efficiency in the future.

The project let the students become aware of other cultures, broaden their outlook and led to the better realizing about the countries of the European Union. 

The next meeting is going to take place during the school year 2004/2005, in October in Hungary. The Albanians are likely to enter the project in October. The preparations of the next meeting should be considered as very serious: the students are going to create the international internet site containing the comprehensive description of the project, formulate the programme of the international camp and concrete in-depth studies of particular subjects such as working in teams. By sharing their experience, students and their teachers that are working as supervisors of the self-governments seek to increase the efficiency in spreading the democratic sense at schools.
